The Mabank Police Department invites you to participate in the 30th annual National Night Out (NNO) crime, drug, and violence prevention program sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW). The event for Mabank's 4th annual National Night Out, will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Mabank Pavilion. Please come out and meet your local law enforcement officers. There will be door prizes handed out, cake walk, dunk a cop, put a cop in jail, Remington 870 Shot Gun Raffle, Pick a Duck Pick A Prize, Hot Sauce/ Salsa Cook Off, Bike Raffle Girl and Boy, Nextbook 8" Tablet w/8GB Memory everyone attending gets a free ticket, Pitt Grill will be serving in the consession stand, and much more fun activities. Live Music provided by Cactus Moon. We look forward to you coming out to our National Night Out.
The purpose of National Night Out is to build strong partnerships between the police and communities and to promote crime awareness programs such as Neighborhood Community Watch groups. According to NATW, last year’s event was the largest ever that involved 37 million people in 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, and military bases worldwide.
On Tuesday, October 1, 2013, residents are encouraged to turn on their porch lights and gather with their neighbors to show unity against criminal activity. Registered communities may be visited by public service personnel such as those from police, fire, and emergency medical services.
